A friend of mine was selling an identity theft solution online. Sales were so-so and I pitched him on the idea of doing a podcast. Thus was born The Identity Theft Warriors, Your First Line Defense Against Identity Theft. The company never took off, but that didn’t stop the show from succeeding. We realized tens of thousands of listens per episode. I had no idea how interested/fearful/intimidated people were by this crime that’s been growing at an epidemic like speed. Again, I acted as the co-host and I interviewed Pat the expert. My producer Melissa became highly skilled in locating identity theft experts and data security specialists for the show. To date, we’ve done over 50 episodes with downloads in the hundreds of thousands. While the sponsorship is gone, the show lives on because I’m interested in the topic and more importantly, so is the audience.
